Sarah Stewart

Sarah Taylor grew up in Bloomington, Illinois and graduated from Bloomington High School.  She has over 10 years’ experience as a public-school teacher and seven of those years in a self-contained classroom.  Sarah has taught Special Needs Preschool, 1st grade, homebound services for a medically fragile student, Cross Categorical Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and general ed Kindergarten.  In addition, she was a coach for a special needs cheer team.

Ms. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University.  In addition, she holds a dual certificate in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.

Her teaching philosophy is that every student deserves access to an educational environment that allows them to reach their maximum potential. She believes in the whole child approach to education. One that focuses on each one of the major child development pillars and not solely academic growth but also building well-rounded individuals.

Outside of school, enjoys hiking, crafting and home improvement projects.  She has gone skydiving and also holds a motorcycle license.
