Beth Crosby

Beth Higginbotham Crosby brings a wealth of experience spanning more than three decades to her role as Director of Physical Education and Nutritional Heath at Polaris Academy. Her extensive background in the health, wellness, and fitness industry ranges from working with newborns to nonagenarians, including individuals with various special needs integrating unique approaches to physical and occupational therapy supports. A former competitive pre-elite gymnast and an all-around athlete, Beth has competed in a multitude of diverse sports from diving, snowboarding, track and field, sprint triathlons, and parkour, to American Ninja Warrior and powerlifting—where she set a world record in the deadlift.  Throughout her career, Beth has also coached all the sports she has competed in, as well as several other sports including swimming, cheer, dance, and synchronized swimming. Beth also performed several years with the Circus School of AZ. Known for having a creative spirit, she once navigated the American Ninja Warrior Junior course dressed in an inflatable T-Rex costume – a testament to her fun and engaging approach to life.

Raised in Mesa, AZ, Beth graduated from Arizona State University in 1999 with a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness. Her passion for physical fitness is matched by her love for cooking and baking, influenced by her mom’s baking skills and her parents past nationwide restaurant chain. Beth has loved to bake and create unique, healthy treats for most of her life.  She has 5 siblings, one of which is an identical twin sister.

Beth’s dedication to coaching began in 1991 with swim lessons and has flourished since she became a personal trainer/coach in 1999. She is also skilled in several bodywork disciplines, including Massage Therapy, Myopractics, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Craniosacral Therapy. Beth also enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, traveling, sunsets, photography, being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and continuing to learn about health, nutrition, and all things wellness related. Her commitment to her community is evident through her involvement with organizations like Child Help, The Music and the Message and her church.

At Polaris Academy, Beth is excited to foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive physically and nutritionally, crafting a program that integrates her lifelong passion for sports, fitness, and wellness.
