Sarah Boyd
Sarah was born into a military family and has traveled her whole life. Arizona has been her home for the last 10 years where she graduated from Arizona State University with her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. Sarah started off in the field of ABA as a behavioral technician and soon became an RBT. Her love for helping young kids with autism drew her into becoming a BCBA. Sarah has been a BCBA for over 3 years now, with a total of over 6 years of experience in the field.
Sarah has worked as a BCBA in both the clinical and school setting, helping students as young as 18 months to 16 years old navigate their autism journey. She left her clinical director position at her previous job to join Polaris, believing in the great work they were doing for students. Her time at Polaris allowed her to see the impact that a blended therapy and academic model can have for neurodivergent students. At Starlight, Sarah plans to emulate that same model with her early learners. She believes that with the right support, any student can succeed in their own way, and by incorporating ABA principles and allowing students more autonomy, true learning can occur. Sarah’s main goal is to help her clients receiving 1:1 ABA therapy integrate into the classroom setting as smoothly as possible with the right amount of love and support.
In her free time, Sarah loves spending time with her family, including her fiance Alec and two Australian Shepherds, Leia and Rey. She enjoys going to the gym, attending her local church, cooking new recipes, and spending time outside when the weather is nice.
