Programs at Polaris Academy
S.T.E.M. Discovery Center
Our one of a kind S.T.E.M. Discovery Center opens a new world of possibility by creating engaging and hands-on learning experiences for students. S.T.E.M. themed projects change throughout the year to allow children the opportunity to discover new interests and engage with their peers in problem-solving and social skill building ways. Our unique LEGO coding curriculum blends computer programming, engineering, artistic, and executive function skills to an already enjoyable craft allowing students to build and learn their way through playful programs bringing lights, sound, and motion to their LEGO creations.
Culinary Experience Room
The Culinary Experience Room is where conceptual math and life skills meet practical application. Here students will be able to engage in individual and group culinary activities involving recipes, meal planning, cooking, shopping, safety skills and more. Learning never tasted so good!
Intentional Play Gym
Physical activity can be a source of fun, a release of anxiety, and an opportunity for students to build healthy and happy relationships when engaged in our system of intentional play. Our indoor tumble-trak trampoline, rock-climbing wall, ninja-training corner, and state of the art Lu Play system (featuring a 20’ wide interactive touch and motion responsive wall projection technology) create a one-of-a-kind environment you won’t find in other schools to build student strength, confidence, and group coordination skills in fun, playful, and engaging ways.
Student Business Center
Polaris Academy is aimed and providing real world experience to its students. What better way than to start and run your own business?! Our Student Business Center is overseen and managed by our students allowing them creative freedom to design, market, and even sell products developed at school. Supported by our PTO in bringing their products to life, the Student Business Center teaches applied math, reading, writing, and problem-solving skills in relatable ways and provide our students with the confidence and reward of knowing they can bring their visions to life.
